- How it works
From the first word to the patient record, in under a minute.
No slides. This is the whole workflow, the way it runs in the reporting room.
Dictate. Read the draft. Send it.
Press record and speak the findings in whatever order you like. Pause and resume as you go.
Words appear on screen while you talk, so you can see what was heard. Display only: never stored, never billed.
Under a minute later the report is back in your headings and your phrasing. Preview it, edit in place, or change a measurement by voice.
Copy it, dictate straight into the field with the browser extension, or file it to your records system.
Four steps, one minute.
- 1. DictateOpen TScribe on any browser, your phone or your tablet. Pick a template or dictate freestyle. Press record and read the study the way you always have. Pause for the phone, resume when you are back. A silence watchdog pauses the recording when nothing is being picked up, and warns you if the microphone has no signal.
- 2. Live captions as you speakWords appear on screen while you talk, so you can see what was heard and repeat a phrase if the scanner was loud. Captions are display only. They are never stored and never billed.
- 3. Structured report in your templateWhen you stop, the audio is processed over an encrypted connection and deleted. Under a minute later the report is back in your headings and your phrasing, with critical fields highlighted for review. Preview it, edit any line in place, or say the change out loud: “change largest to twelve millimetres”.
- 4. Into your recordsOne tap copies it with formatting intact. If your records system runs in a browser, the UnityPulse Dictation extension puts the report straight into the field you are standing in. Departments can file it into the patient record over HL7 FHIR, set up once by an administrator on UnityPulse.
What was said, and what came back.
“Abdominal ultrasound. Liver normal size and echogenicity, no focal lesion, portal vein patent. Gallbladder, multiple echogenic foci with posterior acoustic shadowing, largest eleven millimetres, wall two millimetres, no pericholecystic fluid. Kidneys unremarkable. Impression, cholelithiasis, no evidence of acute cholecystitis, otherwise normal.”
Examination
Abdominal ultrasound.
Findings
Liver: normal in size, echogenicity and contour. No focal lesion identified. Portal vein patent.
Gallbladder: multiple echogenic foci with posterior acoustic shadowing, largest 11 mm. Wall thickness normal at 2 mm. No pericholecystic fluid.
Kidneys: unremarkable.
Spleen, pancreas, aorta: unremarkable. No free fluid.
Impression
Cholelithiasis. No evidence of acute cholecystitis. Otherwise normal abdominal sonography.
The spleen, pancreas and aorta lines were not dictated. They are the template's normal statements, filled because the rest of the study was called normal. The highlighted measurement is flagged for review because it is a value you spoke.
What happens to the recording.
Encrypted in transit
Audio travels over TLS to the transcription service and nowhere else.
Deleted after processing
Once the report is returned to your device, the audio is deleted. Not archived, not replayed, not used to train anything.
Drafts on your device
While you record, the draft is saved on your device so a crash or a lost connection does not lose it. Retry, or listen again.
The report lives with you
There is no table of your reports on our servers. It is on your device and wherever you sent it. Security and data handling.
