You can delete your TScribe account yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. This page explains how, what is removed, what is kept, and why. Because TScribe does not store your recordings or reports, there is far less to delete than you might expect.
1. Delete your account from the app
- Open TScribe on the web, Android or iOS and sign in.
- Open your Profile.
- Choose Delete account and confirm. The screen tells you that any remaining credits will be forfeited.
- Your account closes immediately and you are signed out on every device. We email you a confirmation with a restore link.
2. Ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, write to support@tscribe.io from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm your identity, close the account, and reply when it is done. We respond within two business days.
3. The 30-day window
A closed account is scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days after closure. Within that window you can restore it using the link in the email we send you, and everything comes back as it was. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
4. What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number and profile picture
- Your sign-in credentials, two-factor settings and approved devices
- Templates you synced to your account
- Your remaining credits (forfeited on closure)
- Support messages you sent, once any open ticket is closed
Recordings and reports are not on our servers to begin with. Audio is deleted as soon as a report is returned, and finished reports live only on your device and wherever you sent them. Anything on your device (past reports, unsynced templates, drafts) is yours to keep or clear from the app or by clearing the browser's site data.
5. What is kept, and why
Two things deliberately survive deletion. Records we are required to keep, such as transaction history, remain but are no longer linked to a named person. Security and administrative logs also remain, because a record of what happened on an account is what protects the people whose data it touched. Neither contains clinical content.
We also keep a one-way fingerprint of your email address, not the address itself, so that nothing is ever sent to it again.
6. If an organisation manages your account
If your account belongs to a hospital or department on UnityPulse, an administrator there can delete it on your behalf, and you can also ask them to. You are emailed when that happens and can restore the account yourself within the same 30 days. If you would rather keep your account and only leave the organisation, ask your administrator to remove you: your account becomes an individual one and your templates stay with you.
7. The browser extension
Drafts kept by the UnityPulse Dictation extension are stored in your browser, not on our servers. Remove the extension, or clear its data from the browser's extension settings, to delete them.
